Library Timings
The Reading Hall and Project Room remain open Monday-Saturday from 7.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. During examination periods it is also open on Sundays and holidays from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. The timings and days of operation may be subject to change in varied circumstances.

Books and Journals may be issued and returned Monday to Saturday 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. for undergraduate students and 9.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. for post-graduate students. This facility is also available on holidays from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.

Books you can borrow
All students are entitled to borrow one book and one journal/other material for a period of 7 days. In addition, final year students, Arts students and M.com students can issue an additional book.

Teaching and non-teaching faculty can avail of up to 25 books for one year and a journal/other material for 7 days. Visiting faculty can borrow 2 books for one semester and a journal/other material for 7 days.

It is expected that users return books as soon they have finished with them, for the benefit of other students who may be waiting for them.

Library Orientation for new entrants
It is important to acquaint new students with the library collection, facilities and services. Library orientation is generally conducted at the beginning of the academic year. A tour of the library is coupled with some practical sessions on the use of resources, introduction to library staff and some important instructions.   

Reprography and Printing Service
The college library permits a user to make photocopies and also print documents for their study/assignment/project purpose. The cost of photocopying is Rs. 1/- per page and printing is Rs. 2/- per page. Students are informed time and again of copyright laws and regulations with regard to making copies of documents.

Current Awareness and E-Alert Service
All new arrivals of reading material are prominently displayed at the entrance of the library. The library also sends the scanned front cover and table of contents of current journals to faculty members and students as an e-mail attachment. This creates an awareness of new information in their subject areas.

The Library also offers information about competitive examinations and job opportunities in the public and private sector. This facility is provided through a mailing list at rahejalibraryreferencesection@gmail.com

Book Bank Scheme
The library has a semester-based book bank scheme for poor, needy and reserved category students. Under this scheme, a set of books is available to borrow for a meagre cost of Rs. 50/- only. The requisite form can be requested by paying Rs. 10/- only.

Open Access System
From the academic year, 2009-10 Library has started Open Access system. Open Access system helps the library to make students aware of available resources, optimum utilization of resources and for inculcating reading habits.

Web-based OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue)
The library was successful in providing a Web-based OPAC way back in 2010. This allows users to digitally view the entire collection from any location, reserve books and make stock suggestions in a simple manner. This ensures optimum utilization of library resources and helps to inculcate good reading habits.

Internet and Wi-Fi services
The Library has 24/7 Wi-Fi facility through a dedicated bandwidth. Students and faculty can avail free Wi-Fi which is capped to 1GB per day per user. A specialised “Network Resource Centre” sponsored by the UGC with Computers and printing facility enables teachers to prepare lecture notes and design research activities.

Project Room
The library has a separate project room having 9 computers with internet facility. Project Room facility helps students to prepare their assignments, projects and for conducting the collaborative study. Students can use e-resources CD-ROMs, E-books and E-journals subscribed through UGC INFONET N-LIST

BYOD System
The library has (BYOD) Bring Your Own Device system. Students can use their own Laptops, Notebooks, and Smartphones. Wi-Fi facility is provided to the students.

Gyanyatra-Bookfair
The library organizes Gyanyatra – Book Exhibition every year. All the publishers and vendors exhibit the latest in various subject areas. Library accepts the recommendations of Faculty members and students for the purchase of the library materials.

External Membership
The library has an External Membership facility for Alumina students and poor students of nearby areas pursuing further studies.

Senior citizen book club
The library has a senior citizen book club this service is provided free of cost. At present total 26 senior citizens are members of this club.

Best User Award
Best library user award is given to student, Teaching and Non-Teaching faculty to inculcate the reading habits and to encourage for research activities

User feedback
User feedback is collected on all aspects of library services formally through suggestion Register and feedback forms. Necessary action is then initiated and users are kept informed
